Travelling to Sheffield

By air

Sheffield unfortunately does not have an international airport located within the city.

The closest airports by distance are:

Due to Sheffield's availability by rail, any of the London airports may be preferable.

Via London

Travel to London St Pancras train station by method of travel that suits you best. The station is most accessible via the tube, where you can take most lines (Victoria, Piccadilly, Northern, Circle, Hammersmith & City, and Metropolitan) to King’s Cross St. Pancras Underground Station. London St Pancras is also accesible via National Rail.

The direct train from London St Pancras to Sheffield is served by East Midlands Railway (EMR) and takes 2h 15m on average. Typically, there are two trains per hour, running between 05:27 and 22:32.

To purchase tickets, use East Midlands Railway directly, or a service such as Trainline.

Via Manchester Airport (MAN)

Manchester Airport is the closest airport to Sheffield.

Exit the airport and head towards the Manchester Aiport train station. From there you can ride any of the regular trains to Manchester Piccadilly station. Once at Piccadilly, take one of the East Midland Railway (EMR), Northern, or Transpennine Express services to Sheffield.
