International in-person meetings
Since 2024, the Arches developer and technical community have met up for two (soon to be three) in-person meetings. The purpose of every developer meetup is to allow attendees to share work with the community, network and build strong relationships with members of the community, learn about upcoming features and plans for the Arches platform, and identify areas of technical collaboration and roadmap development.
Los Angeles, 2024
In March 2024, Arches software developers met at the Getty Center in Los Angeles for the first in-person, international Arches Developer Meeting, hosted by the Getty Conservation Institute and organised by Farallon Geographics.
The 3-day meeting was attended by 30 developers, representing 11 organisations from across the world. The majority of the meeting consisted of community presentations, covering a wide range of topics such as Arches applications, accessibility, Arches version 8 (including Vue and changes to Graphs), a workflow builder, a plugin for QGIS, and many more. Many in-depth technical discussions also took place, in addition to a short collaborative coding sprint.
