Defining the boundaries of Arches Core and Apps (Discussion)

I think we need to have a discussion about what the roles, relationships and boundaries are between the "arches core" (/archesproject/arches) and emerging apps. As the structure of Arches changes, I think it's important to have some clarity about the intention of the components so we have a framework to make good decisions so Arches can continue to grow in an intentional way.

This topic is for the developer community as a whole, and possibly for the Technical Advisory Committee to formalize. I think this is a critical topic to discuss at this point in time as we are still in the process of re-shaping Arches, with some time behind us to see how the new patterns have started to form.
